Create a Simple Text Logo
A 'simple' text logo is usually made up of text using an appropriate text style. There are a number of free tools allowing to create such a logo, below are step-by-step instructions on how to create one with Cooltext and Simwebsol.
1. Cooltext offers a good choice of text styles, colors and background patterns for your logo. To create the logo follow these steps:
a/ go to http://cooltext.com/Logos and choose a logo design by clicking on it.
b/ Enter the properties of your logo - text displayed, font, etc. The following options are available:
- Logo Text - insert the name of the company
- Font - pick a font that would match the purpose of your site (for example, for Kid-related websites use 'Kids' font)
- Text Size - keep it up to 40px so the logo may fit well inside the website logo area. If your logo text is too long, use smaller text size. Otherwise, the logo will stretch the design you are using and may affect the proper appearance of your website in different screen resolutions.
- Color - pick a color that matches your corporate colors and design feel and look
- Background color - should be the same as the background for the logo area, otherwise an unpleasant box effect will be displayed around the logo.
- Format of the image - if your logo should have transparent background select 'GIF w/ Transparency no dither'

c/ Use the Download Image link to save on your local machine. The generated logo may look like this:
